Stave / Segment Snares

Similar to a barrel, these drums are constructed with several pieces of wood that are joined together.

At the start of the construction process, all woods start as raw lumber, that is cut, glued, and shaped into a raw cylinder.   The cylinder is then aged anywhere from 1 to 18 months depending on the wood species and moisture content allowing the wood to stabilise in its new form.
