Stave / Segment Snares

Similar to a barrel, these drums are constructed with several pieces of wood joined together to form a circle.  These drums all include internal reinforcement rings.

At the start of the construction process, all woods start as raw lumber that is cut, glued, and shaped into a raw cylinder.   The cylinder is then aged anywhere from 1 to 18 months depending on the wood species and moisture content allowing the wood to stabilise in its new form.
